ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Product Manager, Platform, you are the architect of the infrastructure that powers our end-to-end marketplace experience. You will define the features of LoadUp’s core platform, partnering with Engineering and Ops to build scalable, reliable APIs and internal tooling. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role requiring technical fluency and a deep obsession with the developer and internal user experience.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Roadmap Leadership: Partner with the CTO to align platform priorities with engineering capacity and nationwide business strategy.

• Technical Translation: Turn complex business needs into high-quality product specs, user stories, and technical requirements.

• Internal Liaison: Act as the bridge between Operations, Marketplace teams, and Engineering to ensure our "Right Shell" approach is reflected in our systems.

• Platform Excellence: Define and track key platform metrics like uptime, latency, and API adoption to ensure our engine is built to last.

• Agile Execution: Serve as the primary product stakeholder in sprint planning, retrospectives, and execution alongside distributed engineering teams.

• Strategic SME: Become the Subject Matter Expert for LoadUp’s infrastructure, championing security, reliability, and modern software delivery practices.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Technical Fluency: Deep understanding of APIs, microservices, data pipelines, and how they drive marketplace performance.

• Platform Background: 2+ years of PM experience, with at least 1 year specifically in platform, infrastructure, or technical product environments.

• Analytical Power: Proficiency with tools like Looker or Mixpanel to drive data-informed decisions.

• Communication: Ability to distill complex system architecture into clear narratives for non-technical stakeholders.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
