ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and results-driven Senior Accountant to play a key role in LoadUp’s core accounting functions, financial reporting, and compliance processes. This is a hands-on position for an experienced accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and wants to contribute meaningfully to the financial health and scalability of a tech-enabled service company.

You will work closely with cross-functional leaders to support accurate, timely, and GAAP-compliant financials, while collaborating to streamline processes, strengthen internal controls, and provide insights that inform strategic decision-making.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Contribute to Core Accounting Functions

• Participate in month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
• Assist in preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.
• Support the maintenance of the general ledger

Support Financial Reporting

• Help prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for leadership review.
• Analyze variances and trends, providing insights to leadership.
• Contribute to the development of financial dashboards and KPIs.

Enhance Processes & Controls 

• Collaborate on improving accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Assist in optimizing accounting software and automation tools.
• Partner with operations to support key processes.

Assist in Compliance & Risk Management 

• Participate in tax filings and regulatory requirements.
• Support adherence to federal, state, and local financial regulations.
• Maintain accurate documentation for all financial transactions.

Collaborate Cross-Functionally 

• Work to support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Partner with department leaders to ensure financial alignment with company goals.
• Serve as a resource for finance-related questions and initiatives.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge or GAAP and experience with financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with Accounting/ERP systems.
• Proven experience contributing to process improvements and supporting internal controls.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
